Trilogy International Partners’ Management Team

Trilogy International Partners’ management team has several decades of experience in launching and successfully operating cellular companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Among the organizations that Trilogy’s executives have led are McCaw Cellular Communications (now part of AT&T Mobile), Western Wireless Corporation (now part of ALLTEL), VoiceStream (now the U.S. network of T-Mobile), SmarTone (Hong Kong), tele.ring (Austria), Meteor (Ireland), Tal (Iceland), Magticom (Republic of Georgia), VIPnet (Croatia), BaltCom (Latvia), Nuevatel (Bolivia), ComCEL (Haiti), and Trilogy Dominicana (Dominican Republic).


Board of Directors

Trilogy’s board is characterized by individuals who have a long history in both wireless telecommunications and in collaborating with Trilogy’s senior management team in various domestic and international wireless communication endeavors over many years.


John W. Stanton
is the Chairman of the Board of Trilogy International Partners. Mr. Stanton was Chairman of the Board, a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Western Wireless Corporation (“WWC”) and its predecessors from 1992 until ALLTEL’s acquisition of WWC on August 1, 2005. WWC was one of the largest providers of rural wireless communications services in the United States and through its subsidiary, Western Wireless International, was licensed to provide wireless communications services in seven countries, including Bolivia and Haiti. Mr. Stanton was Chairman and a Director of T-Mobile USA, formerly VoiceStream (“T-Mobile USA”), a former subsidiary of WWC, from 1994 to 2004 and was Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile USA from February 1998 to March 2003. Mr. Stanton served as a director of McCaw Cellular from 1986 to 1994, and as a director of LIN Broadcasting from 1990 to 1994, during which time it was a publicly traded company. From 1983 to 1991, Mr. Stanton served in various capacities with McCaw Cellular, serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of McCaw Cellular from 1988 to September 1991 and as Chief Operating Officer of McCaw Cellular from 1985 to 1988. Mr. Stanton is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Clearwire Corporation and Columbia Sportswear, Inc., each of which is publicly traded.


Theresa E. Gillespie
was Vice Chairman of Western Wireless Corporation from February 2003 until August 1, 2005 and was a Director of WWC from October 2000 until August 1, 2005. Prior to being elected Vice Chairman, Ms. Gillespie served as Executive Vice President of WWC from May 1999 until February 2003, Senior Vice President of WWC from May 1997 until May 1999, and Chief Financial Officer of WWC and one of its predecessors from 1991 to 1997. Ms. Gillespie has been Chief Financial Officer of certain entities controlled by Mr. Stanton and Ms. Gillespie since 1988. From 1986 to 1987, Ms. Gillespie was Senior Vice President and Controller of McCaw Cellular. From 1976 to 1986 she was employed by a national public accounting firm. Ms. Gillespie is “tax matters partner” for the Company.


Bradley J. Horwitz is, in addition to being a Manager, President and Chief Executive Officer of Trilogy International Partners. Previously, Mr. Horwitz was Executive Vice President of Western Wireless Corporation from March 2000 until August 1, 2005, and was President of Western Wireless International (“WWI”) beginning in 1995. Mr. Horwitz was Vice President — International of WWC from 1995 to March 2000, and held various management positions during thirteen years with McCaw Cellular, serving as Vice President — International Operations from 1992 to 1995, Director — Business Development from 1990 to 1992, Director of Paging Operations from 1986 to 1990, and Director of Sales and Marketing from 1983 to 1986.


Alex Evans is a Managing Director of Providence Equity Partners, the world's leading private equity firm focused on media, entertainment, communications and information investments. In Mr. Evans’ eleven years at Providence, he has been involved in many of investment activities in wireless telephony, business process outsourcing, transaction processing services, Internet infrastructure and publishing / print media.


Bruce C. Ratner
is President and Chief Executive Officer of Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC). Under Mr. Ratner’s leadership, FCRC has become one of the foremost urban real estate developers in the New York metropolitan area.


Fergus Wilmer is a senior partner of General Enterprise Management Services (GEMS), a Hong Kong based venture capital fund led by Simon Murray. Prior to joining GEMS in 2003, Mr. Wilmer held senior executive posts with a number of international wireless operations, including Sunday in Hong Kong, Spice Telecom in India, and Hutchison Whampoa Group.


Mark Kroloff is a principal of First Alaskan Capital Partners, LLC, an investment firm.  He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and of Cook Inlet Region, Inc., two of the most successful Alaska Native regional corporations.  Cook Inlet was one of the largest minority-owned telecom and broadcasting firms in the U.S. during his tenure.  Prior to that, Mr. Kroloff was a lawyer with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP.



Senior Management Team

Between them, Trilogy International Partners’ senior managers have 125 years of telecommunications experience. All were part of the team that built and ran wireless operations in 11 countries with Western Wireless International, and many were instrumental in McCaw Cellular’s success, which shaped the U.S. wireless industry.


Bradley J. Horwitz, President and Chief Executive Officer

Previously, Mr. Horwitz was Executive Vice President of Western Wireless Corporation (“WWC”) from March 2000 until August 1, 2005 and was President of Western Wireless International (“WWI”) beginning in 1995. Mr. Horwitz was Vice President — International of WWC from 1995 to March 2000, and held various management positions during thirteen years with McCaw Cellular, serving as Vice President — International Operations from 1992 to 1995, Director — Business Development from 1990 to 1992, Director of Paging Operations from 1986 to 1990, and Director of Sales and Marketing from 1983 to 1986.


Stewart Sherriff, Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Sherriff held a similar position in Western Wireless International beginning in 2001 after having served as Vice President — Operations from 1997. Before joining WWI, Mr. Sherriff was Head of Operations for SmarTone Mobile Communications (Hong Kong) from 1995 to 1997 and, in 1995, served as Regional Coordinator/BSS Specialist for Tretech Solutions, a contractor for AT&T Saudi Arabia. From 1993 to 1994, he served as Team Leader and System Designer for Optus Communications (Australia). From 1986 to 1993, Mr. Sherriff held various positions at Telstra (Australia).


Richard A. Dunn Jr., Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Dunn was Controller of Western Wireless International from April 2004 through May 2006. Prior to joining WWI, Mr. Dunn spent over eleven years with the national public accounting firm of Grant Thornton LLP and was Corporate Controller for StairMaster Sports/Medical Products. Mr. Dunn is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Washington.


Scott Morris, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Morris held a similar position with Western Wireless International, which he joined in early 2005. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Morris was Senior Vice President — General Counsel for Terabeam Corporation, a manufacturer of broadband wireless equipment. From 1986 through 2000, Mr. Morris served as Vice President – Law and Senior Vice President — External Affairs for AT&T Wireless Services, Inc.


Peter K. Simpson, Senior Vice President of Business Development

Mr. Simpson also served as Senior Vice President of business development at Western Wireless International, which he joined in 1999. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Simpson was an independent consultant for various wireless communications companies, including Western Wireless. From 1985 to 1994, Mr. Simpson held various positions with AT&T Wireless Services Inc., formerly McCaw Cellular Communications, including Director – Product Development and Director – Strategic Planning for the Midwest Region. From 1980 to 1985, Mr. Simpson held various positions with GTE Business Communications Systems.


Charlie Bernstein, Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Bernstein has held senior roles in the wireless industry in the areas of sales, distribution and customer operations.  Mr. Bernstein began his wireless career at McCaw Cellular in 1993, and during his twelve years with McCaw/AT&T Wireless served as the Vice President/General Manager of San Francisco, then took over responsibility for National Indirect Distribution, which represented more than 40 percent of the company's overall business.  From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Bernstein was an independent advisor, working with companies in and around the wireless industry such as Disney and Virgin Mobile.


Ann Saxton, Vice President and Treasurer

Previously, Ms. Saxton served in various business development and corporate finance roles at Western Wireless International and worked closely with WWI’s operations in Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean. Before joining WWI in 1998, Ms. Saxton spent two and a half years as part of the business planning and analysis team at Starbucks Coffee Corporation.


Drew Davies, Vice President and Controller

Before joining Trilogy in 2010, Mr. Davies served in various senior management roles within the wireless telecommunications industry, including T-Mobile USA, where he worked for four years.  Prior to T-Mobile USA, Mr. Davies spent six years at SunCom Wireless, where he last served as Corporate Controller.  Mr. Davies also worked in a variety of accounting and operational capacities at PriCellular Communications and at McCaw Cellular/AT&T Wireless.


Andy Baker, Vice President of Tax

Mr. Baker joined Trilogy in 2009 to manage the U.S. and international tax matters involved with investment in foreign wireless companies.  Prior to joining Trilogy, he served as a Senior Manager at Deloitte and consulted with some of the world's largest private equity firms on a variety of U.S. federal tax issues during his eight years with the firm.


Edgar Geidans, Vice President of Engineering and Operations

Mr. Geidans has served in numerous senior engineering and operational roles in markets owned by both Western Wireless International and Trilogy, with which he has worked since its inception.  Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Geidans was Director of Program Management at Clearwire.  From 2003 to 2005 he was a Program Director at Western Wireless Corporation, and was CTO of WWI's Slovenian operation from 2001 to 2003.  From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Geidans was Operations Director at WWI's Latvian operation.  Before joining Western Wireless International Mr. Geidans held various positions at other telecommunications companies, including Alcatel, Scitec and Aspect Telecommunications in Australia.


Ian Beckett, Vice President of Information Systems & Technology 

Mr. Beckett was Group IT Director for Trilogy International Partners since its inception, a role he also performed at Western Wireless International beginning in 2001.  Before joining Western Wireless he was Director for Global Product Engineering at Gateway Computers.  Mr. Beckett has also held senior IT and engineering positions at AT&T, Stream, Westinghouse and Dataproducts Corporation.
