Trilogy International Partners’ management team has several decades of experience in launching and successfully operating cellular companies in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Among the organizations that Trilogy’s executives have led are McCaw Cellular Communications (now part of AT&T Mobile), Western Wireless Corporation (now part of ALLTEL), VoiceStream (now the U.S. network of T-Mobile), SmarTone (Hong Kong), tele.ring (Austria), Meteor (Ireland), Tal (Iceland), Magticom (Republic of Georgia), VIPnet (Croatia), BaltCom (Latvia), Nuevatel (Bolivia), ComCEL (Haiti), and Trilogy Dominicana (Dominican Republic).
Board of Directors
Trilogy’s board is characterized by individuals who have a long history in both wireless telecommunications and in collaborating with Trilogy’s senior management team in various domestic and international wireless communication endeavors over many years.
John W. Stanton is the Chairman of the Board of Trilogy International Partners. Mr. Stanton was Chairman of the Board, a Director and Chief Executive Officer of Western Wireless Corporation (“WWC”) and its predecessors from 1992 until ALLTEL’s acquisition of WWC on August 1, 2005. WWC was one of the largest providers of rural wireless communications services in the United States and through its subsidiary, Western Wireless International, was licensed to provide wireless communications services in seven countries, including Bolivia and Haiti. Mr. Stanton was Chairman and a Director of T-Mobile USA, formerly VoiceStream (“T-Mobile USA”), a former subsidiary of WWC, from 1994 to 2004 and was Chief Executive Officer of T-Mobile USA from February 1998 to March 2003. Mr. Stanton served as a director of McCaw Cellular from 1986 to 1994, and as a director of LIN Broadcasting from 1990 to 1994, during which time it was a publicly traded company. From 1983 to 1991, Mr. Stanton served in various capacities with McCaw Cellular, serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of McCaw Cellular from 1988 to September 1991 and as Chief Operating Officer of McCaw Cellular from 1985 to 1988. Mr. Stanton is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Clearwire Corporation and Columbia Sportswear, Inc., each of which is publicly traded.
Theresa E. Gillespie was Vice Chairman of Western Wireless Corporation from February 2003 until August 1, 2005 and was a Director of WWC from October 2000 until August 1, 2005. Prior to being elected Vice Chairman, Ms. Gillespie served as Executive Vice President of WWC from May 1999 until February 2003, Senior Vice President of WWC from May 1997 until May 1999, and Chief Financial Officer of WWC and one of its predecessors from 1991 to 1997. Ms. Gillespie has been Chief Financial Officer of certain entities controlled by Mr. Stanton and Ms. Gillespie since 1988. From 1986 to 1987, Ms. Gillespie was Senior Vice President and Controller of McCaw Cellular. From 1976 to 1986 she was employed by a national public accounting firm. Ms. Gillespie is “tax matters partner” for the Company.
Bradley J. Horwitz is, in addition to being a Manager, President and Chief Executive Officer of Trilogy International Partners. Previously, Mr. Horwitz was Executive Vice President of Western Wireless Corporation from March 2000 until August 1, 2005, and was President of Western Wireless International (“WWI”) beginning in 1995. Mr. Horwitz was Vice President — International of WWC from 1995 to March 2000, and held various management positions during thirteen years with McCaw Cellular, serving as Vice President — International Operations from 1992 to 1995, Director — Business Development from 1990 to 1992, Director of Paging Operations from 1986 to 1990, and Director of Sales and Marketing from 1983 to 1986.
Alex Evans is a Managing Director of Providence Equity Partners, the world's leading private equity firm focused on media, entertainment, communications and information investments. In Mr. Evans’ eleven years at Providence, he has been involved in many of investment activities in wireless telephony, business process outsourcing, transaction processing services, Internet infrastructure and publishing / print media.
Bruce C. Ratner is President and Chief Executive Officer of Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC). Under Mr. Ratner’s leadership, FCRC has become one of the foremost urban real estate developers in the New York metropolitan area.
Fergus Wilmer is a senior partner of General Enterprise Management Services (GEMS), a Hong Kong based venture capital fund led by Simon Murray. Prior to joining GEMS in 2003, Mr. Wilmer held senior executive posts with a number of international wireless operations, including Sunday in Hong Kong, Spice Telecom in India, and Hutchison Whampoa Group.
Mark Kroloff is a principal of First Alaskan Capital Partners, LLC, an investment firm. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and of Cook Inlet Region, Inc., two of the most successful Alaska Native regional corporations. Cook Inlet was one of the largest minority-owned telecom and broadcasting firms in the U.S. during his tenure. Prior to that, Mr. Kroloff was a lawyer with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP.

All were part of the team that built and ran wireless operations in 11 countries with Western Wireless International, and many were instrumental in McCaw Cellular’s success, which shaped the U.S. wireless industry.

Before joining Trilogy in 2010, Mr. Davies served in various senior management roles within the wireless telecommunications industry, including T-Mobile USA, where he worked for four years. Prior to T-Mobile USA, Mr. Davies spent six years at SunCom Wireless, where he last served as Corporate Controller. Mr. Davies also worked in a variety of accounting and operational capacities at PriCellular Communications and at McCaw Cellular/AT&T Wireless.
